The foaming tools are used to bond a skin and a plastic carrier using semi-rigid foam. These products often need to be trimmed after the manufacturing process or provided with openings for subsequent installations.

Injection moulded carriers, polyurethane and decorative surfaces are reliably bonded together. This can be achieved by back foaming or laminating/bending. KraussMaffei offers both technologies.  

The backing is firmly bonded to the skin using an innovative thermal bonding technique with a PUR core layer. The skin envelops the backing and can be flexibly guided around corners – for perfect adaptation to different geometries. Often used for soft-touch surfaces.
