KraussMaffei’s Battery Encapsulation technology uses fast-reactive polyurethane (PUR) to encapsulate battery cells, modules, or electronic components. This process provides thermal, mechanical, and environmental protection while enabling efficient high-volume production.
- Material Preparation: Two-component PUR (polyol and isocyanate)
- Mixing & dosing: High-pressure dosing system for precise processing
- Complete solution including enclosure made of RTM or fibre-reinforced reaction systems
- Inspection: Final inspection for voids ensures quality and reliability
