Technological Excellence

We have the greatest leverage for greater sustainability through our machines and systems. Here are some current examples of how we use them to help our customers achieve their own sustainability goals.

In 2025, we revised our PX series all-electric injection molding machines. One of the areas we focused on was sustainability: all main axes and the new ejector are servo-electrically operated. This not only improves cycle performance but also reduces energy consumption by around 20%. The PX is optionally equipped with a compact, servo-hydraulic auxiliary unit for the energy efficient movement of tool core functions and cascades. Thanks to the space-saving design of the drive components and an optimized machine topology, the machine bed could be shortened. Combined with the sleeker housing, this results in a footprint reduction of up to 20%.

Sustainability starts with our own behavior. Here are some selected measures:

  • Modernization of heat pumps in Einbeck (D)

  • Conversion of old compressed air compressors in Abbiategrasso (IT)

  • Retrofitting of old lighting with energy-efficient LED lighting in Florence (USA) and Treuchtlingen (D)

  • Installation of ceiling fans at the Sucany (SK) site. This swirls rising warm air down to the ground, which has reduced gas procurement
    for heat generation by 15%

  • Old gas heating systems replaced with efficient infrared radiant heaters (dark radiators) in Viersen (D)

  • Introduction of a job-bike offer at German sites to reduce emissions from work-related commuting

  • Vehicle fleet electrification in Abbiategrasso and Lainate (IT), Rotkreuz (CH), Sucany (SK), and Warrington (UK)
