Variants
Virgin Polymers
In the discharge extruder, additives can be homogeneously incorporated and melt temperature precisely controlled. The modular design of the KE single-screw extruder ensures process reliability, flexibility, and effective devolatilization. Powerful vacuum systems remove volatiles efficiently, delivering optimized processing and consistent product properties in polyethylene as well as homo- and copolymers.
Schaumtandex
The Schaumtandex process uses a downstream cooling extruder to efficiently and homogeneously cool the melt prepared in the twin-screw extruder. This enables extremely high throughputs of up to 7,600 kg/h, making it ideal for producing large, high-quality foam boards and beads. The system ensures maximum process safety, efficient cooling, long service life, and the ability to process up to 100% recycled material.
Schaumex
The Schaumex extruder combines all process steps – from melting and incorporation of the blowing agent to cooling – in a single processing unit. This allows particularly space- and cost-efficient production of foamed sheets, pipes, and profiles at small to medium throughputs. High automation, ease of operation, and flexible customization make the system ideal for tailored production requirements.
