In the fast lane with a luxury car
It’s seen action in desert rallies, served as the Popemobile, and operates in crisis zones: the Mercedes G-Class. Since 1979, this rugged off-roader has also found fame among Hollywood stars and sheikhs, especially in its sleek AMG version. Key exterior parts like bumpers, fender flares, and more come from Osbra GmbH, which supplies OEMs with both injection molding and reaction processing – using systems from KraussMaffei. And the next production expansion is already on the horizon.

Live @Fakuma: The Turtle project
Light, shiny and with a sustainable message - this is how the little blue turtle, which is produced on an all-electric PXZ 121-380-180 Multinject in a sandwich process, presents itself at Fakuma. The core consists of mechanically recycled PC/ABS, the high-quality outer layer of chemically recycled ABS. Numerous features of the PXZ 121, such as the new sandwich panel or the new APCplus function, which now also uses individual material parameters, make the multi-component process even more efficient and economical.

Clear the stage for injection molding and automation
A sudden machine breakdown or capacity expansion in the course of a large order - plastics processors often have to act quickly and expand their production at short notice. With the new showroom at Parsdorf, KraussMaffei now offers a large selection of injection molding machines and automation that can be tested on site and are ready for immediate delivery.

Thanks to their outstanding physical properties, liquid silicones - LSR for short - are constantly conquering new areas of application and offer great opportunities for growth. Visitors to the NPE in Orlando, Florida (May 6-10) can experience the production of matrix lenses for headlights live at the KraussMaffei booth.

Circular Economy live @NPE
"Make plastic green - with high quality and efficiency." Is KraussMaffei's motto at the NPE in Orlando, Florida (May 6 to 10). The focus of the trade fair presentation will be on future-oriented technologies and solutions with a focus on circular economy and reducing the CO2 footprint.

MuCell in sight
These are currently pressing questions of our time: How can we noticeably reduce the use of material and energy in the production of plastic components, thereby reducing CO2 emissions and protecting the environment? At Fakuma (Booth A7-7303) KraussMaffei and its partners demonstrate how physical foaming can provide answers to these questions. The new MuCell universal screw enables a quantum leap with 30 percent more plasticizing performance - as does APCplus, which for the first time also ensures shot weight consistency with MuCell.

A family affair
Two companies located just 600 m apart (as the crow flies) are connected closely in every way: Michel Werkzeugbau AG and Wipf AG. Together, they supply aroma-seal valves to the international market. For these and other projects, Michel has invested in 13 new KraussMaffei machines (12 all-electric PX machines and 1 hydraulic CX) since 2019.
